I was wondering if anyone after having their MWS, child suffered any misscarriages trying to have more children. The reason I ask is my son was diagnosed a year ago with MWS. We unfortunately lost him on Dec. 18 2007 because of heart failure, he was 2. His genetecist told us there was a one in a million chance of us ever having another MWS child, and it should be safe to have more children. We just started trying again and I just had a miscarriage because of a blighted ovum. The fetus didn't form, most likely due to a chromosomal abnormality. I am wondering if anyone has been in this position and gone on to have healthy children. I am looking for some hope. Thank You.
My heart goes out to all of you with all of your daily struggles. My son was a joy to be around. He had a hard life but he was always happy. His smile made it all worthwhile and he had the best smile. Every moment of every day I wish I could have him back. He was the true defenition of love. |

Dear Noahsmom,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your little boy. My son Nason was diagnosed in Sept 06 with MWS. I did not suffer a miscarriage but in Oct 2004 my husband and I had a beautiful baby girl that was health as a horse until she passed away last May at the age of 2 1/2 from a tragic accident.
I hope that helps.
Again, I am sorry for your loss.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to both of you for the loss of your children *hugs*
My mom had Kelly and then 14 months later had me. 7 years later she had our younger sister and only Kelly has MWS. I don't think my mom has ever had a miscarriage but I'm not 100% sure.
I do believe there are 1 or 2 families that have had 2 kids with MWS but please correct me if I'm wrong. |
